KOP Bride Tip Tuesday | Something Borrowed

August 27, 2019

I am a huge fan of wedding traditions and one of the oldest wedding day traditions is

“something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue…”

This tradition dates back to an old Victorian-era rhyme from Lancashire England that brides used for “good luck” back in the 1800’s. Fast forward to today and I love seeing what my brides choose for their “Something Borrowed” almost 150 years later! Below you will find some of my favorites that you can use as inspiration for your big day!

-Sister’s veil from her wedding

-Cowboy boots her sister wore at her wedding

-Grandma’s wedding ring sews to the bouquet ribbon

-Mom’s pearl’s/earrings

-Parent’s bibles as the ring bearer pillows

-Parent’s cake knives
